With the holiday season fast approaching, another treat for potential tablet enthusiasts comes in the form of the AT&T Samsung Galaxy Tab price and release date details. The tablet which functions on the Honeycomb OS will be second in line for AT&T’s 4G LTE network.

While announcing the release of this tablet, AT&T also stated a special offer for the smartphones in its latest collection. Consumers who purchase the Galaxy Tab 8.9 are eligible to grab either the Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket or the Samsung Galaxy S II free of cost. Users can pay only for the two-year user agreement and other such charges. Also, AT&T publicized that its 4G LTE network will expand to six new regions, thus extending its reach to a total of 15 cities in the U.S.

“The arrival of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 adds to our outstanding Android lineup and our growing portfolio of premier 4G LTE devices,” mentions David Christopher, chief marketing officer, AT&T Mobility and Consumer Markets. “We’re constantly adding new 4G LTE coverage and only AT&T offers 4G LTE plus 4G speeds through our HSPA+ network.”

This tablet sports an 8.9-inch HD screen, while the body is adorned with dual cameras. The rear facing one with LED flash comes with a 3.2MP sensor, while the 2MP front facing camera supports video calls and chatting. The depth of this device measures 8.6mm and it weighs 15.9 ounces. Internally, it is embedded with a 1.5GHz dual core Snapdragon processor, 1GB RAM and 16GB internal memory that can be expanded up to 32GB.

The AT&T Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 price reads at $479.99 with a user agreement of two years. It is slated to release via AT&T retail stores and online on November 20, 2011 and is compatible with pre-paid as well as post-paid plans.
