Apple Store app update here in time for the holiday season

Apple Store app 2.0

The Apple Store app recently received a 2.0 update, just in time when people are getting into the shopping mood. The version 2.0 brings several refreshing changes like EasyPay, Personal Pickup, international support, and more.

The new EasyPay feature ceases the need for long queues at retailers for the payment of purchased goods. Users who have a handheld Apple device operating on version 4.2 or later of iOS can use them to make payments at stores for goods they purchase. With this, all that is required to buy a product is the iOS device with the new updated version of the Apple Store. In-app payments are made possible by scanning the barcode within the app.

Another new change brought about with this version is the Personal Pickup function. Users who purchase an item via the online Apple store can now get their hands on it personally in the any Apple Retail Store. And for that, they don’t need to wait for long. If it is an in-stock order, customers can lay hands on the product within the hour. So no more waiting for goodies ordered from an iOS device.

But if it is really difficult to wait for even a single hour, or the order placed is expected to take longer than usual, keen users can track the status of current as well as previous orders from the order status section in the More tab. Also, the addition of international support now extends the service to China along with Canada.

The Apple Store app update is now available for download from iTunes.
