Apple iOS 5.0.1 Update

To fix the various bug issues in its newly launched iOS 5 operating system, Apple had released the iOS 5.0.1 update last week. However the refreshed version has apparently not been a total success as complaints regarding unresolved bugs still prevail.

The 5.0.1 update has reportedly not solved all battery issues of every user. In connection to this problem, Apple issued a statement to AllThingsD stating, “The recent iOS software update addressed many of the battery issues that some customers experienced on their iOS 5 devices. We continue to investigate a few remaining issues.”

Following various complaints regarding the problems faced by users of the new operating system, Apple had launched a beta version of the 5.0.1 software for developers to test. Then last week saw the upgraded software being rolled out to Apple users. But in spite of the promises by the Cupertino based company to fix the bugs eating up users’ devices’ battery life, many of them faced the same problems again and voiced their grievances through Apple’s support forums.

The internet was abuzz with Apple device users saying that even after updating and rebooting, their battery continued to drain at a fast rate. According to the numerous complaints, the battery goes down by almost one percent per minute and the situation was comparatively better before this update came along. Although some users were not positively affected by the update, others experienced a better performance with the refreshed version of the software.

For now, Apple device users will have to wait and watch out for the new fixes which the company is currently working on.
