This year seems to be lucky for Android, as it has seen a wide growth in popularity with the extensive range of devices operating on its OS. The Android Developers blog elucidates the company’s plans to expand its Market to several more countries. Developers from 20 newly added countries can now sell their paid apps through the Android Market.

The company brings good news not only for developers but consumers as well by unveiling the Android Market in additional 18 countries over the coming two weeks wherein the paid apps can be procured. It now supports paid application sales from developers in 29 countries in totality. New additions include Brazil, Canada, Denmark, Finland, Belgium, Hong Kong, Argentina, Australia, Singapore, South Korea, Sweden, Norway, Portugal, Russia, Mexico, New Zealand, Ireland, Israel, Switzerland and Taiwan.

Moreover, the Android Market’s paid applications can now be accessed by consumers in 32 countries. Countries like India, Ireland, Israel, Argentina, Belgium, Brazil, Mexico, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, Portugal, Russia, Hong Kong, Norway, Singapore, Sweden, Poland, and Taiwan have been added to the existing list.

Developers who have selected available to ‘All Locations’ for their paid apps need not do anything to make their software available to these additional countries. Those who haven’t selected and want to make their apps available to the newly added locations can visit the Android Market publisher site frequently over the next two weeks to make the alterations. Moreover, app developers who’ve targeted their software to ‘All Locations’ and do not want them to be accessible in these additional buyer countries can also visit the site to make the necessary adjustments.
