Jawbone and Cisco team up to roll out Jawbone Icon for Cisco Bluetooth headset

Manufactures are rolling out compact peripherals with excellent functionality features to augment convenience levels. Extending their effort, Jawbone and Cisco have now collaborated to slid the wraps off the Jawbone Icon for Cisco Bluetooth headset.

Users can easily make calls from their Bluetooth-enabled handset, Cisco Unified IP Phone, Cisco Unified Wireless IP Phone and Cisco Cius. The Jawbone MyTALK platform offers essential software applications and functional updates.

The Jawbone Icon for Cisco Bluetooth Headset is the type of next-generation device that will allow workers to collaborate regardless of where their work lives. This first wearable and updateable platform is the only one that enables enterprises to get more value out of the device over its lifetime through functional updates as Cisco enhances its UC offering,” remarked Steve Slattery, vice president and general manager IP Communications business unit, Cisco.

Besides linking Cisco unified IP phones and handsets, the newly unleashed peripheral enables users to pick calls from their desk phone and mobile phone with utmost ease. The device is crafted accurately with elegant and sleek attributes. Owners can comfortably wear the device since it put forth superior ergonomics.

The peripheral is now being shipped in the U.S. and Canada and packs in Cisco Unified IP Phones 9951 and 9971. International shipments are anticipated to start in October 2010.
