These include the landscape slide-out LG Axis running on Éclair and Samsung Gem infused with Android 2.1 and built-in Google mobile services. Now the company is all set to bring two new handsets to the forefront namely Motorola Milestone X and HTC Merge. Alltel customers have a broadened choice of phones that include Google’s Android technology.

The HTC Merge boasts of Android 2.2 operating system and HTC Sense user-friendly interface which enables owners to seamlessly multitask. They can also gain access to social networking websites like Facebook and Twitter as well as update their status and check e-mails. SMS messages, Facebook and e-mail can all be organized as desired by users. Motorola Milestone X claims to be an apt offering for recording video in vivid HD quality, downloading movies and watching content through the 4.3-inch high-resolution touchscreen. Via the optional HDMI cable, all data stored in the handset can be viewed on a compatible HDTV. Other features include 8MP camera, dual LED flash, 40GB expandable memory and 8GB on-board.

The LG Axis allows owners to personalize up to five different home screens with widgets as well as various shortcuts to favorite applications. Motorola Milestone X is expected to enter via Alltel Wireless on April 14, 2011 while the LG Axis, HTC Merge and Samsung Gem are already individually available for $79.99, $124.99 and free on a two-year contract.
