Aircel outs 3G services into Arunachal Pradesh

Aircel happens to be a big player in the North Eastern region of India, but it has taken too long to bring its 3G services into fringe state, Arunachal Pradesh. Nonetheless, the deed has finally manifested now, and those living in the region can benefit from it through several different plans.

At a time when we’re looking at 4G mobile Internet being provided to many parts of the country, Aircel has been quite late in taking its 3G services to Arunachal Pradesh. It has announced that it will be providing its wireless data for mobile devices as well as 3G dongles.

Aircel has also revealed a new ‘3G Good Morning’ offer that will grant subscribers free unlimited data and browsing data of 100MB daily between 4am to 8am. Aircel has said that since folks from Itanagar and Naharlagun have high data usage, they will be provided with a dongle plan tendering 4GB of data at Rs 1495.

In addition, there are many other Aircel 3G plans which are starting at as low as Rs 8. Nilaj Mahalanavis, who’s Aircel’s business head for the North East circle, has commented that the company aims to re-define user experience with its 3G penetration and adoption in Arunachal Pradesh.

Recently, the network provider went on to launch 4G services in some of its circles as well. In doing this, it followed the footsteps of the number one player in India, Airtel which too is going about increasing its 4G footprint.

Like we said, the North East is an impotent territory for Aircel, and proof of that is the fact that its subscriber base there increased by 37% in 2013.
