Affordable Android-powered smartphones from T-Mobile unwraps for the holidays

T-Mobile USA now reveals various new Android-powered smartphones tagged with affordable prices as well as new service plans. The line-up in store for mobile enthusiasts includes LG Optimus T with Google, T-Mobile Comet, and Motorola Defy with Motoblur. These devices are each priced at less than $100 with qualifying rate plan on a two-year agreement.

With the latest array of phones, the company claims to strike a chord with all members of the family, enticing even amateur smartphone users. They can take complete advantage of various features such as the mobile Web, Android Market and Google services like Gmail, Google Maps and YouTube. The compact T-Mobile Comet dressed in a black finish boasts of a 2.8-inch full touchscreen display, 528 MHz processor and 3.2 megapixel camera. It can also be picked up by prepaid customers for less than $200 and is noted to be the lowest-priced 3G Android smartphone available in the company line-up.

The user-friendly LG Optimus T comes complete with a customizable homescreen, 3.2-inch full touchscreen display, 600 MHz processor, and a 3.2 megapixel camera with video capture. Voice Actions for Android are already pre-loaded enabling owners to execute commands via voice entry like e-mailing, navigating, texting and calling. This device is drenched in two neat finishes namely titanium and burgundy.

The slim Motorola Defy is claimed to be dust-proof, scratch and water-resistant while offering Motoblur, 3.7-inch full touchscreen, 800 MHz processor, and 5-megapixel camera with video capture and flash. The company endows this handset with a linen and black finish. The final offering in the array is Motorola Charm with Motoblur. It includes a 2.8 inch touchscreen paired with backtrack pad, full QWERTY keyboard, 3 megapixel camera and 600 MHz processor. The mobile strides in with a golden bronze or cabernet finish.

In addition, new low-cost data service plans aimed at familys are also being offered this holiday season. Two mobile data plans are revealed namely the Web – 200MB plan or the Web – Unlimited plan with the former priced at $10 per month with a new two-year service agreement or contract extension for a limited time or $15 each month without any two-year contract extension. The latter can be purchased for $30 per month with both plans coupled with a new or existing voice and text message plan. A new tethering service plan that allows mobiles to double as wireless modems can be added to the Web – Unlimited $30 monthly plan by paying $14.99 per month.

Starting tomorrow, the T-Mobile Comet, LG Optimus T and Motorola Defy will hit retail as well as online. The mobile service and data plans are scheduled to be out this holiday season.
