Acer Liquid Z3 running Android 4.2 to debut next week pegged at €99

The Acer Liquid Z3 has been made official in Europe, marking the arrival of yet another low-budget smartphone which rocks Android 4.2 Jelly Bean out of the box. And considering how dual SIM devices have been a hit in this category, Acer permits opting for a variant housing an extra SIM card slot. The gadget happens to be the fifth handset offering this year and will be joining the 5.7-inch S1 and the 4.5-inch E1, in the series carrying a sub €100 price tag.

Tech savvy buyers may not find the Acer Liquid Z3 as appealing, but it is most definitely meant for those on the lookout for their first smartphones. Design-wise, the 102g device has been wrapped around a 3.5-inch display and stands to be 109mm tall, 60mm wide and 10.4mm thick. A 3MP camera which can be spotted on the handset’s rear panel, solely shoulders the responsibility of capturing images and recording videos.

Not many details have been divulged when it comes to memory options, with the company only stating that there will be 4GB of inbuilt space and leaving information concerning the expansion capability out of the discussion. The OEM has keenly highlighted four custom profiles, namely basic, senior, classic and keypad modes. Each of these differs as per needs of users from varying age groups and usage patterns.

The Liquid Z3 will be up for grabs sometime next week in the UK, Spain, France and Italy amongst a few other European countries. It will cling to a price tag of €99 which roughly translates to $131 as per today’s exchange rate and come splashed in hues of rock black and classic white.
