Acer Liquid S1 unveiled at Computex 2013 with 5.7-inch screen

The booth of Acer at the Computex saw the inclusion of the Liquid S1, while the manufacturer has spoken of its phablet hitting various European regions. If we had to list a few, these realms would comprise of France, Belgium, Russia and the UK.

The Acer Liquid S1 comes across as a magnanimous smartphone parading a screen size of 5.7 inches. It is across the estate of this display that users should be able to enjoy watching a movie or playing games at an HD resolution. Speaking of visuals reminds us that the phone has been presented with the Float UI which open popup windows while running another app simultaneously.

What seems absurd is that in spite of the Acer Liquid S1 receiving official acclamation very little is known about the camera, except for the fact that it facilitates 88-degree wide viewing angles. However, the manufacturer hasn’t refrained from elaborating its features, some of which are Voice Shot, Smile Shot and so on.

That’s about it in terms of the external appearance. Within the confines of the 195-gram device, a quad core Mediatek processor furnishes it with a speed of 1.5GHz. It is for this purpose that the CPU seeks assistance from 1GB of RAM. The handset rocks the most recent edition of Android Jelly Bean out of the box.

If we were to take a look at the connectivity features, we’d find Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and 3G all present. Since the Acer Liquid S1 comes as an 8GB variant and there is quite the chance that this may fall inadequate for some, the company has embedded a microSD card slot which supports expansions of up to 32GB. Lying under the hood is a 2,400mAh battery which keeps the gadget up and about between charges.

The Liquid S1 could strike stores in the said regions and more, anytime during the next quarter at a price of €329 which should translate to around $427.
