The Acer Iconia W4 tablet based on the latest Windows 8.1 OS has been launched in India and interested users will have to part with a sum of at least Rs 24,999 if they wish to own this gadget. You can pick it up in variant with either 32GB or 64GB onboard memory, and while the former comes for the price we have mentioned above, the latter will set you back by Rs 26,999.
Its 8-inch touchscreen of 1280 x 800p resolution is deployed with the IPS as well as Zero Air Gap technologies to ensure sharp and bright images. The Acer gadget is said to be compact enough to be held in one hand as it weighs in at 415 grams and has a thickness of 0.42 inches. The Microsoft-certified slate acquires steam from a fourth generation quad core Intel Atom processor that can clock in a maximum speed of 1.8GHz.
Acer claims that the Iconia W4 is capable of coughing up the juice for web browsing time of close to 10 hours and users can watch videos for 8 hours in between charges. It keeps you entertained as well as productive on the go considering that the Microsoft Office Home and Student 2013 suite is pre-loaded on it along with a media player. It goes without saying that you can play games on the gadget as well. A 2MP webcam and a 5MP snapper can also be seen on the front and rear panels, respectively.
The Acer Iconia W4 is available now through leading retail channels and shopping portals across the country. Acer Crunch Keyboard and Crunch Cover will also be available for the tablet.
