T-Mobile retails Medis Xtreme portable fuel cell charger

T-Mobile Medis Xtreme Charger Running short of power while on the move, T-Mobile now brings to fore Medis Xtreme portable fuel cell charger that delivers instant power without outlets or conventional batteries.

T-Mobile’s product page claims that the portable device is apt for off-the-grid applications including airplanes, travel, emergencies and outdoor activities. The charger has received UL and CE approval along with Department of Transportation permit for airplane use.

Seemingly, the Medis Xtreme offers 20 watt-hours for every single cartridge of sodium borohydride used. Further, even replacement power packs are sold separately. Apart from smartphones, the Medis Xtreme portable fuel cell charger is compatible with accessories, including BlackBerry devices and Bluetooth headsets. The portable charger is said to be eco-friendly and clean energy source, since it is recyclable and contains no toxic metals. The ‘green’ charging device employs a patented, proprietary fuel that produces electricity without producing any polluting emissions.

Apparently, each activated cell can be used for up to three months. However, it is suggested that it should be changed every six weeks. T-Mobile retails the Medis Xtreme portable charger for $24.99 excluding taxes.
