The Acer Liquid Jade S smartphone is most likely to be scheduled for launch in India in the coming weeks as the device has been listed on the company’s country-specific website. What’s more, the handset has only just been unveiled in Taiwan and this clearly shows that the OEM is starting to consider India as a key market.
Just a couple of days back, the company launched the Liquid Jade and Liquid E700 which were its first releases in the country’s smartphone market since 2011. The Acer Liquid Jade S is obviously part of this series, but it’s in a different league altogether.
The phone has been revealed with the latest hardware aboard and it’s a mid-range offering. Its main highlight is the processor which is a 1.5GHz octa core MediaTek MT6752M SOC based on the new 64-bit ARM architecture. And although the handset runs on Android 4.4 KitKat, it’s safe to say that Lollipop is destined to arrive in the near future.
