Ministry of Tourism releases Tripigator app for Android devices

Equipped with a beautiful user interface, the Tripigator app which indirectly happens to be the Ministry of Tourism’s official travel application has made its way onto the Google Play store. Available in the form of a free download on all Android devices running version 4.0 and up, this utility specializes in offerings personalized itineraries, among other useful things.

Tripigator is the Indian Ministry of Tourism’s travel partner, and the first and only ‘instant travel planning engine’ according to its makers. You can enter your travel details including place, budget, number of persons, interests and more, and the app will deliver an itinerary based on that.

You can then add your travelling partners to that plan, and edit it in a collaborative manner. You can even employ the Tripigator Android app to discover destinations based on your interests, region, season and more.

Furthermore, the Near Me feature enables you to find activities, hotels, restaurants, ATMs and hospitals that are nearby where you’re staying. The app is capable of providing you with detailed information about more than 350 destinations with over 4000 activities, over 18000 hotels, over 20000 restaurants and millions of flight, bus, train routes, all with their respective prices.

Its developers have explained that it makes use of big-data technology so as to analyze millions of web pages, price points, reviews and other travel data-signals on the Internet. It then quickly goes on to create you personalized holiday plans to match the preferences you’ve entered.
