Along with all the Bolt, Canvas and MAd smartphones, Micromax has launched two new tablets this week and they go by the names of Funbook P365 and Funbook P256. These have not been released officially, but should be announced by the company very soon as they have already hit availability status in India via an online retailer. Both have been priced under Rs 7K.
The Funbook P365 is a silver-colored compact 7-inch tablet that makes the most of the Android Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0.4 OS. Its capacitive touchscreen can render visuals in 800 x 480p resolution and is accompanied by a 0.3MP webcam. On the flip side lies a 2MP camera for photography purposes. A 1.2GHz Cortex A9 processor and 1GB of RAM power the device from within and it is fueled by a 2800mAh battery. The slate offers browsing time of close to 4 hours on a single charge.
Coming to the Funbook P256, it too is a 7-inch ICS-based device, but integrates a Cortex A8 processor under the hood which is capable of clocking in a speed of 1.2GHz as well. The slab brings 512MB of RAM and 4GB of expandable memory, apart from a 3MP camera and a 1.3MP webcam. This particular tablet employs a 3000mAh battery to cough up the juice for browsing time of around 4 hours.
The Micromax Funbook P365 is priced at Rs 6,990 and the Funbook P256 will set you back by Rs 4,683. They are currently available via Snapdeal in India.
