New Nokia Camera app’s beta version now comes to all WP8 Lumia devices

Up until now, the new Nokia camera application was only available for Lumia devices that owned a PureView snapper, but now the Finnish company has decided to make its beta version accessible to all Lumia phones running Windows Phone 8. It has already been launched at the Nokia Beta Labs.

The beta application cannot be installed through the Windows Phone store as of now and interested users will have to navigate to the aforementioned website to download the trial version. All you need to do is sign in with your Nokia account and you can have it for testing purposes. As of now, the utility is exactly the same as the existing Camera app from the company, but it will be updated as time passes and will be bestowed with a horde of experimental features.

The very first thing that the developers wish to achieve is perfect compatibility with all the products in the range. After the features are tried and tested, they will be added to the non-beta application using the regular Store update process. It should be noted that it is a beta application and is likely to be unstable. The official blog has requested users trying it out, to be patient and even report problems and give their feedback about the utility.

Before users download the new Nokia Camera app, they should download the Nokia Amber or Lumia Black updates to make their phones compatible with it. The Nokia Lumia 520, 521, 620, 625, 720, 810, 820 and 822 smartphones are compatible with the new application which can be downloaded from the Nokia Beta Labs website.
