50% cut of all sales will go to China Mobile’s AppStore

China Mobile logo China Mobile is said to be looking forward to a 50% cut of all sales from its forthcoming mobile app store. IntoMobile reports that China-Mobile-controlled Aspire Technologies and China Mobile’s Guangdong branch are currently developing the so called Mobile Market. It will include apps and a variety of other mobile content for all platforms with the exception of the iPhone. This Mobile Market will be available to both GSM and TD-SCDMA device owners who will be able to download apps, games and other content for their phones.

China Mobile is much pricier than other app stores. However, on the whole the prices offered by China Mobile will be much less than the cost of applications from app stores that serve Western countries. Additionally, this mobile operator has the most number of subscribers as compared to any other mobile operator so they can command the rest.

The Mobile Market is going to be released sometime in September.
