Original Story: People who registered for the Yu Yuphoria but were unable to seal the deal on multiple occasions might be getting a guaranteed opportunity to grab the phone through a Golden Ticket sale on Amazon India. The sale will take place between 2pm to 5pm on July 15.
The chosen few will get an email from Amazon containing a link directing them towards a page where they can purchase the Yu Yuphoria. Registered users can still buy the phone on the next 16 July sale, which will begin at 2pm. There won’t be any more registrations post that, with the company planning an announcement on the same day.
The dual-SIM Yuphoria has a price tag of Rs 6999 and comes with some good specs for its segment. It has a 5-inch 720p HD screen protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 and runs the Cyanogen 12 OS, based on Android Lollipop 5.0.2. It’s powered through a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor and a 2230mAh battery, which supposedly charges up to 65% in 45 minutes.
