Big battery smartphones are gaining a lot of popularity in India and the Wiio WI3 is taking advantage of is by offering a massive power pack for Rs 7499. The phone comes with a battery capacity of 4000mAh and is exclusively available through Snapdeal.
The Wiio WI3 is the third smartphone from the company to set foot in India, the first being the Wi Star 3G which was launched via eBay earlier this year. The second option is the Wiio Wi5 that is listed as out of stock on Snapdeal. The new handset is an upper entry-level release and is quite similar to the Spice Stellar 518 where hardware is concerned.
Just so you know, the latter phone also has a 4000mAh battery and was recently given a drop in its Rs 7799 retail tag to Rs 4999. The Wiio handset has a lot more competition to face especially from local OEM as there are one too many phones on the market with similar sized batteries and affordably tagged. The device in question is being targeted at the youth touting exceptional activity time.

It’s capable of up to 9 hours of talk time (most likely on 3G) or around 800 hours of standby. The WI3 is a decently designed phone and it offers a screen size of 5 inches, making it a good pick for entertainment buffs. The display is a qHD IPS panel and is accompanied by a 2MP snapper. The main shooter here is rated at 8MP and can record videos in 1080p quality.
