Samsung Electronics has decided to open a new Customer Service Plaza in New Delhi to offer after-sales support to those residing in the capital of India. It’s not the first of its kind in the world; the company also has similar centers in other parts of the globe.

With the huge user base that the South Korean electronics giant enjoys in India, it only makes sense for it to set up such a service center in the country. The opening ceremony was presided over by Samsung South-West Asia’s President and CEO, B.D. Park. Several other partners and executives were also present at the inauguration, says a post on The Indian Express.

Samsung is trying to earn better brand loyalty from customers and also add to its fan base in a nation where companies offering alternative devices of questionable quality can easily shake the order of things by selling products at lower costs. The Customer Service Plaza is designed to offer a complete support starting from product demos to servicing of gadgets to answering of consumer queries amongst other things.

The center which is built on 26000 square feet of space, is located in New Delhi’s Okhla area. It will be open throughout the week and on weekends including Sundays, till 8pm. Samsung boasts about the plaza being able to deal with up to 30 one-on-one customer interactions all at the same time. Ever had the suspicion that your phone didn’t actually get replacements for its faulty parts even though the repair person told you he had done so?

Well, Samsung’s Customer Service Plaza will have the facility of live repairs in front of the complainant so they know they haven’t been overcharged for anything and that their device has been properly fixed. At present, the company mainly provides remote technical support via 3G for its Smart TVs and handsets. It even extends pick-and-drop services for certain flagship products.

Just in case you’re wondering, more Samsung Customer Service Plazas will be coming to major metropolitan areas in India in the future.
