Moto X successor pops up in new benchmarks, hints at 5.2-inch screen and 12MP camera

Call it the Moto X successor or the Moto X+1 or the Motorola XT912A, someone has taken the unannounced smartphone for a spin via a new benchmark test. The most delicious part of this news is that we’ve got a list of all the specifications you’d care for while hunting for a suitable handset.

A GFX Bench test which has revealed most of the dirty details of the Motorola Moto X successor says that it will have a 5.2-inch touchscreen of 1920 x 1080p full HD resolution. The phone is expected to run Android 4.4.3, or KitKat, out of the box and be powered by a 2.3GHz quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chipset.

Moto X+1 Mock-up

A 12MP camera capable of shooting videos in 1920 x 1080p resolution is set on the back panel of the device. It is complemented by a 2MP lens above the display out front. Although 1.7GB RAM and 24GB storage are on the list of features, we can safely assume that it’s actually 2GB RAM and 32GB ROM. Lastly, even if the model screened is supposed to be single SIM phone, we think Motorola might be interested in adding an extra slot for a second SIM card in another variant of the handset.

Alleged specs of Moto X+1:

– 5.2-inch 1920 x 1080p touchscreen
– 12MP main camera, 2MP webcam
– Quad core 2.3GHz Snapdragon 800 processor
– 2GB of RAM, 32GB internal memory
– Android 4.4.3 KitKat OS
– Single SIM configuration

Forget arriving about it as the Motorola Moto X+1, TheDroidGuy notes that this unnamed device could be a successor to the Droid Ultra instead. Well, we’ll just have to bide our time until more information on the smartphone at hand leaks. This will hopefully not take too long to happen.
