After the ZTE PF200 and N910, the company has unveiled another new smartphone dubbed as the ZTE Mimosa X. This is apparently the first handset to operate on the Nvidia Tegra 2 mobile processor as well as the Icera modem which the company received as part of its Icera acquisition that took place mid last year.

Snap happy users of the Mimosa X would be able to take pictures and conduct web chats via the embedded 5MP rear facing main camera and the front facing secondary one. It further boasts of a 4.3-inch qHD 960 x 540p resolutions touchscreen display and operates on the new generation Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich mobile platform.

“The ZTE Mimosa X is exciting for a few reasons. The Mimosa X marks the first time Nvidia technology powers all the major processors in a single smartphone, and also the first time a premium mobile computing experience is coming to the mainstream smartphone market,” stated Michael Rayfield, General Manager of the Mobile business at Nvidia.

This ZTE smartphone packs in 4GB of internal storage space which can be expanded up to 32GB using the microSD card slot. Additionally, the A2DP and DLNA compatible handset comes equipped with a dual core CPU and a GeForce GPU.

Although the ZTE Mimosa X release date and price details have not been revealed, it is scheduled to commence shipping sometime in the second quarter of this year.
