Succeeding the likes of Lenovo K800 and Xolo X900, the ZTE Grand X IN powered by the Intel processor is all set to make its debut in September. Unlike its aforementioned counterparts, the device in question takes advantage of the Ice Cream Sandwich platform.

Belonging to the Grand series of smartphones, it hides the Intel Atom processor Z2460 featuring the Intel Hyper-Threading technology. The Intel XMM 6260 platform makes it compatible with the HSPA+ network, thus ensuring relatively fast internet access on the move. Its front panel is fitted with a 4.3-inch qHD TFT capacitive touchscreen and a 0.3MP webcam, while the back panel features an 8MP camera.

“The Grand X IN is ZTE’s first flagship smartphone in Europe to feature Intel Inside, and we look forward to building our partnership with Intel. The handsets in the ZTE Grand portfolio are quality devices focused on providing a great level of service and, with the inclusion of Intel’s technology in the Grand X IN, we have provided a handset with enhanced capabilities, reliability and performance,” stated Ao Wen, Vice President of Europe Operations for ZTE Handsets.

Moreover, the smartphone treats users to the Ice Cream Sandwich platform and has been deployed with an accelerometer, compass as well as proximity, light and gyro sensors. It has even been embedded with an expansion slot for a microSD card of up to 32GB capacity. Some other attributes include NFC, HD Voice and the ability to play 1080p videos. The Wi-Fi-, Bluetooth- and DLNA-enabled device is powered by a 1,650mAh lithium-ion battery.

The ZTE Grand X IN price and release date have not been revealed but it will arrive in Europe next month.
