Zopo ZP998 equipped with MediaTek true octa core processor launched in India

The Zopo ZP998, a device that makes the most of the MediaTek true octa core processor has arrived in India much before the Intex phone whose prototype was launched only recently. The device in question is currently up for sale in India for a price of Rs 24,000 through the official company store.

MediaTek announced the MT6592 octa core processor only recently and apart from Intex, no other company has revealed anything about its plans to incorporate the component as yet. In addition to Zopo, Huawei is also likely to launch Android smartphones that operate with the assistance of the said chipset, but nothing has been disclosed officially.

The ZP998 is up for pre-order and can be picked up in the shades of black and white. Along with the aforementioned 1.7GHz chip, the device packs 2GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard memory that can be expanded further by up to 64GB using a microSD card. It even has dual SIM card slots and a Mali-450 MP4 GPU for enhanced graphics.

This gadget’s front side is mainly dominated by a 5.5-inch FHD IPS touchscreen with a pixel density of 404ppi and a 5MP snapper. The rear side plays host to a 13MP auto focus snapper with LED flash. It is compatible with 3G network speeds and even has built-in Wi-Fi for internet access through hotspots. A number of Google mobile services have also been thrown into the mix.

Interested users can pre-order the Zopo ZP998 through the company website and it will start shipping from December 19.
