Users can now find gluten-free groceries right from their iPhone as Zeer has recently introduced an iPhone app dubbed glutenScan. This app enables users to check out gluten free foods belonging to any category and also offers gluten-free options while assisting them to determine whether a particular product is gluten-free or not.
The iPhone app presents gluten-free safety status, comprehensive product and ingredient information as well as allergy warnings. Users can also call a product manufacturer just with a button press. glutenScan offers accessibility to more than 30,000 food products and over 10,000 manufacturers.
“glutenScan is a great companion for anyone living gluten-free. You can pick up a product in the grocery store, type in the name or UPC and instantly determine the gluten free status of that product. If a product contains gluten, glutenScan automatically searches the database and recommends gluten free alternatives. The iPhone app employs the Zeer platform and provides access to the wide-ranging Zeer database that is inclusive of high quality images of each product and highlights problematic ingredients.
Around 500 products are added or updated on a weekly basis. The app is now available on the iTunes App store. glutenScan is presented on a subscription basis, the initial download fee is $1.99 for 30 days of usage. Later, subscribers can add 30 days for $1.99 or $3.99 for 90 days.
