It’s software update time for the Yu Yuphoria, and some very important problems facing the smartphone are being solved by the new release that has begun its rollout today as an OTA download. Prime among the improvements are fixes being issued to its camera and its heating issues.
This update doesn’t alter the software build, so the phone will still be sitting at the Android 5.0.2 Lollipop-based Cyanogen 12 OS. There have been several complaints of the Yu Yuphoria’s camera not being up to the mark, and these have indeed been addressed by this software update. According to the company, the images are now sharper and more detailed even under low light.
With regards to the device’s proximity sensor not working properly, a fix for this has been issued as well so that it auto-calibrates itself every time the phone reboots. Some improvements to the touchscreen’s performance have been added to this update by Yu, apart from a fresh firmware aimed at facilitating faster typing and better gesture control.

While the rollout of this update for the Yu Yuphoria has begun, it will take around two to three weeks in order for it to be available on all the devices in the country.
