An upcoming high end device, the G705 looks really elegant and should be able to point you in the right direction with its stylish organizer offering advanced scheduling and e-mail possibilities.

A sleek slide out fellow, the G705 is one heck of a feature-rich phone. Sporting a 2.4” screen with AT&T HSDPA support, Wi-Fi connectivity and a full HTML browser, the handset will additionally ship with Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync capabilities. The petite multimedia phone boasts of a really cool slide-out numeric keypad and a built-in accelerometer that allows users to switch to landscape view by tilting the phone.

If you are always on the move, you can use the full potential of the G705 as it is packed with an inbuilt A GPS in combination with Google Maps for Mobile and Wayfinder navigation that offers a 3-month free trial. The phone is also compatible to YouTube, apparently the first of many models to boast of the feature. The RSS feed capabilities otherwise hidden in the menu structure of the Sony Ericsson phones has been boldly incorporated into the home screen of this device

The additional attributes of the smartphone include a 3.2-megapixel camera with video recording, Stereo Bluetooth and a media player with Album Art functionality and a 1GB Memory Stick Micro card. Users can connect to a DLNA certified Sony Bravia television and stream content wirelessly as the chic G705 is also DLNA certified. The rumour mill is also spinning with the device’s capability to act as a laptop sidekick. If true, the feature should let users connect to their laptop to the internet via the G705’s HSDPA connection.

The Sony Ericsson G705 will be available in three versions. While the American version of the Sony Ericsson G705 will be available early in Q1 of 2009, the Sony Ericsson G705 and G705u UMA handset for Orange is expected to hit European stores around Q4 of 2008.
