Vodafone HTC One up for preorder in UK

Our previous report based on the HTC One price in the UK spoke of the Taiwanese company’s flagship amounting to £510 via Clove, although Vodafone has now taken the initiative of putting the smartphone up for preorder free of charge, combined with its monthly plans. At the same time, even EE as well as Three have begun taking pre-bookings for the same.

To shake things up, the manufacturer has made the One 4G ready. Given that EE is currently the only carrier offering LTE services and that the network will be within other service providers’ reach by later this year, Three terming the smartphone to be ‘future-proofed’ should be justified.

With its top-notch specification sheet, the device seems to have raised the bar for other smartphones. Living up to its name, it currently is ‘one’ of the few handsets to be fueled by a quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor. Its 4MP Ultrapixel main camera should make it a worthy competitor in a bid to acquire the top spot against others.

Accommodating Android Jelly Bean, it will be the first device ever to ship with the optimized version of Sense 5 featuring BlinkFeed. A 4.7-inch full HD display, 2GB of RAM and a 2,300mAh battery fall under its other significant highlights. Buyers could choose from one of the two storage configurations laid down on the table, namely 32GB and 64GB.

If bought through Three, the handset will be made available starting at £69, while it will be up for grabs via EE for £29.99 and more. Those waiting for it to arrive at other outlets will find it displayed on Expansys at £519.99. Just to weigh their options, customers can also browse through Carphone Warehouse’s page, wherein it has been put up for pre-bookings for free along with EMI details.

The monthly plans of Vodafone for the HTC One start from £42 per month with no upfront charges. Benefits of this scheme include unlimited calling minutes and texts in addition to 2GB of Internet for an entire year. Apart from this, the device can be purchased for £69 followed by £37 per month installments or else it can be picked up for either £129 or £179 by paying an EMI of £33 or £29, respectively.
