Besides the ViewSonic ViewPad 10pi and ViewPad 10e tablets, another slate that has been announced to debut from the company’s stable is the ViewSonic ViewPad E70. Unlike its two counterparts which operate on the Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS, this one runs on the latest Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS.

The sleek ViewPad E70 is powered by a 1GHz single core processor and offers 4GB of internal storage space which can be expanded up to 32GB by inserting a microSD card. Through the integrated 1080p HDMI output, users can easily stream multimedia content such as movies and TV shows.

“ViewSonic is committed to delivering advanced technology designed with the consumer in mind. Featuring the latest Android operating system, along with leading apps and services for entertainment content, the ViewPad E70 continues the ViewSonic tradition of bringing feature-rich products to new markets,” stated, Michael Holstein, vice president of business development, ViewSonic.

This compact slate is incorporated with a 7-inch 800 x 480p capacitive multi touchscreen display and gives users easy access to the vast Android Market which includes more than 3,00,000 apps, games and tools. Capable of lending support to Wi-Fi, it comes embedded with a front facing as well as a rear facing camera.

The ViewSonic ViewPad E70 tablet can be picked up for a price of $170 and is expected to be available in the latter half of this year’s first quarter. Although the slate’s release date is not yet known, the CES 2012 attendees can catch a glimpse of the same at the ongoing event.
