Samsung users will soon awaken to a new ‘Reality’. Verizon Wireless and Samsung are all set to launch the new phone, Samsung Reality. The phone is sleek and trendy, to be made available in two colors, Piano Black and City Red.

The phone sports a three-inch WQVGA touchscreen display, a slide out QWERTY keyboard, personalizable widgets and various messaging options. Users can send across messages in the form of texts, pictures, videos or voice messages. Also, there is Mobile IM, Mobile Chat, Mobile Email and Mobile Web Email. With the 3.2 MP camera, users can click pictures or shoot videos in the dark with ease via the night shot mode. The phone also gives users options to shoot in single, multiple, panorama, mosaic and frame shot modes.

Samsung Reality possesses interesting photo editing features like the Dynamic Canvas, which supports flash animation in pictures. Apart from this, Bluetooth technology for headset, hands-free and Dial-Up Networking is accessible. Basic functions like phonebook access, basic print, imaging, object push for vCard and vCalendar, File transfer and serial port have been included as well. Users caught up with work all the time can make use of the corporate Email support to view Microsoft Office Exchange and sync their corporate emails, contacts and calendar from their office with their phone.

Apart from business concerns, the Samsung Reality also allows access to social networking services. With the VZ Navigator, users can receive voice-enabled directions to more than 15 million interesting points and share them with others. There is also the Visual Voice Mail that makes deleting, replying or forwarding voice messages without having to listen to them over and over again. With the media centre, users can conveniently download games, wallpapers and other graphics for their phone. Other functions include a personal organizer with tools such as calendar, calculator, currency converter, notepad, alarm clock, world clock and stop watch.

The phone will be made available to users on April 22 at Verizon Wireless Communications Stores as well as online at verizonwireless.com. Samsung Reality comes with a price tag of $79.99 following a $50 mail-in rebate in the form of a debit card, upon receipt. The card may later be used as a normal debit card. In order to gain maximum from Reality, users need to subscribe to a Nationwide Talk or Nationwide Talk & Text plan. With this they would also need to make a purchase of data package beginning at $9.99 per month for 25MB with Mobile Email.
