The highly anticipated LG Versa is now official. Recently, Verizon Wireless announced the launch of the phone. The company claims it to be the most versatile phone with stylish bar design and comes with different attachments so that users can customize the phone according to their style or liking.
Boasting of a detachable QWERTY keypad, the LG Versa phone provides a choice to its users to either attach the QWERTY keypad or leave the keypad at home. The phone sports a 3 inch LCD screen as well as an animated 3D interface. Users can also customize three different home screens with three different layouts. The LG phone has a built-in accelerometer that helps in rotating the screen automatically from portrait to landscape mode.
The LG Versa phone incorporates a 2 megapixel camera that comprises various functions like autofocus, image editor, 2x zoom, video recording capabilities, face detection and SmartPic technology. The phone integrates a MP3 player that can play music even while you perform other tasks like sending messages, edit contacts and browse the web.
Additionally, the phone offers Verizon Wireless V Cast Music and V Cast Video services. The V CAST Music with Rhapsody service will allow users to purchase songs from a collection of more than 5 million and V Cast Video will allow users to download and stream various popular videos.
The LG Versa phone supports full HTML browsing, flash and RSS feed. Users can keep upto three windows open at a time. Other features included in the phone are Visual Voice Mail, GPS support with VZ Navigator, Bluetooth connectivity, Mobile Email, microSD card slot with support upto 16 GB, a 2.5mm headset jack, 1100 mAh powered battery providing a talktime of upto 290 minutes and a standby time of upto 430 minutes.
The LG Versa phone will be available from March 1, 2009 for $199.99 after $50 mail in rebate and with a two year service contract.
