Verizon Nokia Lumia 928 renders trickle out

Almost a month after we last reported that Nokia might be building the Lumia 928 for Verizon’s 4G LTE network, the smartphone’s renders seem to have snuck out. The details concerning this model had drifted our way for the first time back in the month of January when the handset had been rumored to be christened Laser.

Although, there is no foolproof information that this could indeed be the network operator’s next crown jewel, we must admit that the news has originated from the well-known @evleaks Twitter account. Judging by its reputation of delivering almost legit details, we might just be looking at the carrier-specific avatar of the Finnish manufacturer’s flagship.

Taking the image to be the real deal, the device comes across as a compact version of the 920, except with blunter edges. The renders furthermore reveal that it could be entering the market after taking a dip at least in black if not any other color.

The flip side is seen sporting a Carl Zeiss Tessar lens packing PureView technology, standing besides which is a combination of LED and xenon flashes. As these details agree with our earlier estimations, we believe the camera may flaunt the previously rumored 8.7MP sensor as well.

Just like the snapper, the components in the smartphone’s interior have also been speculated to run common with the 920. This means that customers will benefit from a 1.5GHz dual core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor assisted by 1GB of RAM, a 2000mAh battery and 32GB of onboard memory supposedly at a slashed down rate, if clubbed with one of the carrier’s agreements.

In other news, the handset has been rumored to be fashioned out of an aluminum polycarbonate material. Within the confines of this will rest a 4.5-inch OLED display. Not to forget the device will be powered by Windows Phone 8 similar to the global version.

Since the month of April had earlier been dedicated as the Nokia Lumia 928 release window, it shouldn’t be long before some concrete information pops up. So Verizon loyalists can stay tuned to this space for additional information on the mysterious 920 doppelganger.

Rounding up the rumors, the device should be floating ashore with the specifications listed below:

– Windows Phone 8 OS
– 4.5-inch OLED display
– 1.5GHz dual core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor
– 1GB of RAM
– 32GB of onboard memory
– 7GB of SkyDrive storage
– 2,000mAh battery
