UTV New Media introduced a unique service of providing movies on phone called Audio Cinema. Movie lovers now can avail a one hour audio version of their favorite movies by dialing in to 505999555. The movie service includes dialogues, narration and a gist of the story, all at just for Re 1 per minute.
The audio box premieres with smash hits like Fashion and Sholay (Hindi), Prem Loka (Kannada), Thalapathi (Tamil) and Gang Leader (Telugu). Movie enthusiasts will now be hooked on to their phones. Every Friday users can lay their hands on the latest movie collection on Audio Cinema.
Remarking on the launch T N Prabhu, CEO, UTV New Media Ltd quoted, “UTV has always believed that content is of prime importance and has made it available across various platforms. In today’s fast paced life, people want everything on the go and it is on the mobile that such services can be offered. Audio Cinema is our initiative to give our movie crazy and a busy nation, another avenue to whet their appetite for their favourite movie dialogues, on the go.”
A host of service providers like Idea, Vodafone, Airtel Mobile and Reliance offer UTV@Play’s Audio Cinema. It allows users to resume a movie in between phone calls. Moreover the listeners can opt from a long list of titles; language preference can also be set from anywhere at any given time.
Vodaphone and Airtel provides this service at Rs 6 / min browsing, while Idea Cellular offers it at Rs 6.99/ min browsing. However Reliance brings a monthly package that is priced at Rs 30.
