Service providers are variegating their smartphone offerings for mobile users skeptical about signing on tedious cell phone agreements. U.S. Cellular has announced that it will be offering two Android handsets namely LG Optimus U and LG Apex equipped with prepaid plans on its network.
The LG Optimus U shows off a 3.2” capacitive touchscreen display to provide an improved multimedia viewing experience. It includes a virtual QWERTY keyboard coupled with Swype technology for easy text input. This phone comes pre-installed with a 2GB microSD card, while the memory can be expanded by up to 32GB via a microSD card slot.

The stylish LG Apex also encompasses a 3.2” touchscreen made up of sturdy glass material as well as a slide-out full physical QWERTY keypad. It integrates a 3MP AF flash-enabled camera with a panoramic mode for photography enthusiasts. The service provider presents consumers with four prepaid voice and data packages. The $60 prepaid plan offers 2GB of data, unlimited text messaging and over 450 minutes of talktime.
With the $70 package, users can avail of 2GB data and limitless messaging and voice minutes. Prepaid customers who prefer texting more that talking can choose the unlimited texting and 200 voice minutes for $30 per month plan. Additionally, the $50 per month option proffers both unlimited messaging as well as voice minutes.
LG Optimus U and LG Apex can be purchased on U.S. Cellular’s network clubbed with prepaid plans for $199.99 and $249.99, respectively.
