Mobile connectivity options for the junior brigade seem all set to foray into a new arena with a fresh corporate merger resulting in the Disney Mobile on DoCoMo F-08D and P-05D Android smartphones. Although the main target audience is expected to be young adults and kids, the company conveys these two and other upcoming devices in the range to be suitable for women as well.
The newfangled brand marks the merger between the Walt Disney Company and the mobile operator, NTT DoCoMo. All future smartphone releases consequential to this collaboration will be categorized under the Disney Mobile on DoCoMo title. The F-08D and P-05D are the first two handsets to kick off the venture.
Of these, the F-08D weighs 120g and its dimensions measure 129 x 64 x 8.8 millimeters. While the device is embedded with a 1.2GHz dual core OMAP processor, its 4.3-inch TFT LCD touchscreen displays visuals in a HD resolution of 720 x 1280p. It is said to be capable of surviving standby time of approximately 400 hours or talk time of about 330 minutes on the 3G network. Dressed in shiny shades of pink or white, the dual camera device has a primary snapper with a sensor of 13.1MP.
The P-05D as well as the F-08D will ship with a 2GB microSD card which can be swapped for another one with a 32GB memory capacity. With a screen of the same size as the previous one, the P-05D proffers a display resolution of 540 x 960p. This offering comes ingrained with a 1GHz dual core OMAP CPU, while the camera resolution is 8.2MP.
Concrete details about the Disney Mobile on DoCoMo F-08D and P-05D Android smartphones release date and price are not known yet. However, pre-orders for the former begin February 17 at DoCoMo shops.
