Widening the entertainment options available for owners of the famous Apple tablet is the newly released Touchtv app for iPad. Developed by SkyGrid, the application lets users view TV shows from the tablet itself at anytime and anywhere.
iPad owners are allowed to see a variety of channels belonging to different genres such as entertainment, education, sports and many others. This new application seems to be apt for those who are frequently on the move and don’t like to miss out on their favorite television shows when not in the comfort of their own home.

The desired programs are delivered to the Apple tablet automatically and smoothly through Touchtv. Optimized for the iPad, users merely have to ‘touch’ a channel to watch it. They are able to add more channels and customize their tablet TV from the homescreen itself. The company even recently entered into a global partnership with LG Electronics for Touchtv to be integrated into future LG Smart TVs that are scheduled to hit the market within the first quarter of this year.
The Touchtv app for iPad can now be downloaded for free from the App Store.
