The Toshiba Excite 10 SE price in the US has been made official and the gadget has hit availability status. Just a few days ago, we had reported that the Japanese manufacturer will be launching the slab. And as promised, it is out and ready to be purchased.
As opposed to its predecessor that was based on the Ice Cream Sandwich platform, the device runs on the Android Jelly Bean operating system and it flaunts 5 customizable home screens. On the inside, an Nvidia Tegra 3 quad core processor drives the slate. The CPU is assisted in its operations by 1GB of RAM.
Spread across the slab’s front panel is a 10.1-inch touchscreen display that showcases images at a resolution of 800 x 1280 pixels, similar to the AT300 SE. Also included in the 1.41 pound device, is a virtual keyboard that allows texting with one hand through Swype technology.
The Excite 10 SE has been embedded with decent cameras endowing users with dual shutters. The one placed on the rear is a 3MP snapper that is encased with features like auto focus and digital zoom to capture photos and record videos.
On the front panel, a 1.2MP HD webcam and a microphone strive together in order to make video conferencing possible. Speaking of memory, the slate has been made available with an inbuilt storage capacity of 16GB.
Sharing wirelessly is also an option with the help of connectivity features like Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth 3.0. Besides these, the slate comes packed with sensors like ambient light for auto adjustment of the display’s brightness, gyroscope to measure or maintain orientation of the display and an accelerometer for motion control.
The price of the Toshiba Excite 10 SE has been set and customers can pick it up for $349.99 through select retail and online shops as well as the company’s online store which is offering the tablet at $329.99 after a $20 discount.
