Robert Sprogis, Vice President of Your World Games, commented, “The Shroud is one of the few truly deep, immersive gameplay experiences available on a mobile device that both casual and hardcore gamers can enjoy. We are proud to announce its release on the Helio network, which will not only allow millions of users experience the oncoming invasion of unspeakable terrors from the Shroud firsthand, but also to partake in special GPS challenges that will test both mind and body in a truly unprecedented combination of compelling strategy-RPG and GPS location games.”

Leo Jun, Head of Games and Apps at Helio further added, “The Shroud really stands out in mobile gaming for its depth and quality of gameplay. The game is a great addition to our growing portfolio of games.”

The Helio version of the game, ‘The Shroud’ characterizes a protagonist, Taro initially a simple farmer, who later becomes a reverential messiah protecting his homeland from Shroud as well as its ancient, evil inhabitants. To enable Taro defend the Shroud foray, players need to amass resources and capital by turning untended, untilled and barren farm into fertile topsoil working on the farm, growing and harvesting crops. These assets will also help Taro shut the breach portals connecting the two worlds.

Players can indulge in diverse competitions and activities like the International Farmers’ League (IFL), fishing, real-time monster combat and mining. The GPS technology, solely for the Helio Release alerts players to the breaches on screen and permits them to physically move themselves to these locations using an on screen compass. While more difficult breaches may compel players to travel longer distances (up to a few miles), early challenges have shorter distances between breaches (under several hundred feet).

The Shroud, an ingeniously exciting game, will be available for all GPS-enabled Helio devices.
