A few leaked images of HTC’s upcoming Windows mobile phone have been spotted. According to Softpedia, a new cell phone has been released by HTC supposedly called the HTC Firestone. It is rumored to sport an 8 megapixel camera and a design that bears a resemblance to the Touch Diamond which was earlier released by the company.
The handset appears to sport a 3.6” 800×480 pixels resolution WVGA touchscreen display. Apparently, it offers connectivity with GSM850, GSM900, GSM1800, GSM1900, UMTS900 and UMTS2100. It is Bluetooth 2.0 and EDR capable. It is compatible with 802.11b and 802.11g Wi-Fi. Additionally, it provides an AGPS and G sensor. It is supposed to offer the 600 Mhz Qualcomm 8250 processor along with 256MB RAM and 512 MB ROM.
Users can also store loads of content in the microSD memory card slot provided by the phone. The Firestone is assumed to possess a standard 3.5 mm audio port and an accelerometer. It works on Windows Mobile 6.5 operating system and the company’s TouchFlo user interface as well. Based on the images, it is believed that the handset looks classy and stylish. With the ample variety of features and specifications offered, the phone is expected to enhance the productivity of users.
The HTC Firestone is supposed to hit the markets in August, 2009.
