According to The Boy Genius Report, Telus has recently publicized its plans to launch the HTC Touch Pro2 and the HTC Snap smartphones in the Canadian market in the latter half of this month. The BlackBerry Tour from Telus is available for sale this week. It is expected that the US market will receive the HTC Touch Pro2 from T-Mobile on July 22.
The HTC Touch Pro2 possesses a slide-out QWERTY keyboard and sports a 3.6-inch touchscreen with 480 x 800 resolution. This phone is powered by Windows Mobile 6.1 which features a custom TouchFLO interface. It is also equipped with a 3.2-megapixel camera, GPS and WiFi connectivity.
The HTC Snap is equipped with a QWERTY keyboard and makes messaging, sending emails and other functions faster and easier. This phone is already present in the US and is also powered by Windows Mobile 6.1.
The BlackBerry Tour 9630 possesses a QWERTY keyboard, sports a 480 x 360 resolution display, a 3.2 MP camera to take clear images and wireless modem capabilities.
The pricing for the HTC Touch Pro2 and Snap have not been mentioned. The BlackBerry Tour attaches a price of $230 with a three-year contract or $600 without an agreement.
