Users won’t run low on power while on the go with the PowerPak portable battery that acts as a backup rechargeable battery pack as well as a rapid home charger for mobile phones.
The PowerPak recharges the handset and simultaneously revives itself via the wall outlet. According to i4u, it delivers three hours of additional talktime on most of the mobile phones and is Energy Star rated. It conserves energy by drawing minimal power from the wall outlet when no additional power is needed.
Reportedly, the PowerPak features a built-in LED light indicator that displays the residual power in the devices’ internal battery, just with the press of a button. It is compatible with any device that charges using USB. Apart from mobile phones, the Technocel device supports a host of other gadgets including PDAs, MP3 players, Bluetooth headsets and many others.
The PowerPak portable battery is expected to hit the stores by next month. However, the pricing details of the device are not yet official. Apparently, the device carries a reasonable price tag of $40 and will be offered via the company’s website or supporting retailers.
