TechFaith and QIGI enters Cooperation Deal for Smartphones in China

TechFaith logo, smartphone and China flag China TechFaith Wireless Communication Technology Limited signed a Cooperation deal with QIGI, a Chinese Smartphone brand to roll out four hi end smartphone for the Chinese customers via china telecom.

Among the four sophisticated mobile phones two of the models are CDMA1X smartphones, while one will attribute the first CDMA phone that will support Android operating system and the other CDMA smartphone will run on Windows Mobile 6.1 operating system. The remaining two models are especially designed for 3G networks which have been launched recently; both EVDO and WCDMA samrtphones will operate on Windows Mobile 6.1 operating system.

Wilson Cai, Deputy CEO of TechFaith, comments, “With the recent roll out of the 3G network in China, we believe the market for smartphones will grow significantly in the coming year. We have already developed and launched 3G products in other countries and we have immense experience and knowledge of local operator requirements. Through our continued partnership with QIGI, we are able to bring our high-end products to the market quickly and we expect that these new smartphones will be very successful in China.”

The launch of all these hi-end mobile phones will offer the Chinese users all the rich features and other useful applications that will benefit them at its best. Moreover the newly developed 3G network will also provide users with a faster speed to carry on their mobile functionalities.

The mobile phones will shortly be released by the second quarter of 2009.
