T-Mobile iPhone 5 to roll out this Friday with $0 upfront charge

This may be the first time that T-Mobile has decided to welcome the iPhone 5 into its threshold, but the carrier seems to have left no stone unturned, seeing as it has made up its mind to proffer the handset with no upfront price. Valid until June 16, this offer will be made available for anyone with existing 4 or 4S units and who is willing to trade-in for Apple’s current flagship smartphone.

Those who have heard of the network operator’s uncarrier campaign will know that the device will be up for grabs without the hassle of a service agreement. Instead, potential buyers could look forward to enjoying a Simple Choice plan which the device will be seen tagging along.

Customers will have to part with at least $50 so as to benefit from unlimited talk time and messages. This scheme moreover permits consumption of up to 500MB 4G data and imparts a Wi-Fi tethering ability. On the other hand, users will bounce back to 2G speeds once they breach the stated limit.

In case consumers feel that their needs exceed 500MB per month, they could choose an extra tier over and above the basic plan. The charges for every surplus 2GB data tallies to $10 ($60 for 2GB extra, $70 for 4GB and so on). If users don’t mind the exclusion of tethering they can add $20 to the base rate and be exposed to unlimited data usage.
