Swipe has unveiled the Halo Speed in India and the 2G dual SIM tablet which supports voice calling like most members from this portfolio, has been granted a price of Rs 6,990. That being said, the device hasn’t hit any of the online retail stores as of now and no details have been given out pertaining to its release date.
With the price roughly resembling that of the Value tablet from its series, the Swipe Halo Speed happens to offer more or less the same features. For starters, not only does it come bundled with a 7-inch screen just like the former, it also nabs a 2MP camera for its flip side and a 0.3MP lens for its front. Speaking of similarities, we can say that both tabs can be seen rocking Android 4.1 out of the box.
Fitted within the 345g slab is a processor pacing at 1.5GHz. This happens to be a much better development as compared to the Value slate’s 1GHz CPU. Continuing on the same lines, we must admit that the device houses an improved system memory of 1GB, instead of the latter’s 512MB RAM.
While the slate manages to overshadow its peer in most aspects, it still lacks in the field of the onboard battery. The single core device draws power from a 3,400mAh power pack, whereas the gadget in question derives its kick from a 3,000mAh cell. We have yet to unearth the approximate talk time and standby owing to this component’s inclusion.
As far as connectivity attributes are concerned, users may not find top notch features like NFC support or Miracast mirroring, but they could hope to rely on Wi-Fi to douse their Internet browsing needs. Additionally, the company has included Bluetooth so as to facilitate wireless sharing of content.
