The next version of a certain well known tower defense game has been unveiled – Fieldrunners 2 for iOS. It will be available for the iPhone by the end of June, with the iPad counterpart touching down soon after.
The main gameplay comprises 20 levels spread over 4 distinct zones covering busy cities, the clandestine volcano base, green fields and more. Players have over 20 customizable towers and equipment items at their disposal to defend each territory. Towers like Railgun, Link and Nuke along with many others should make the game properly challenging for players. In addition to the basic survival and refreshed time trail maps, death and puzzle maps join the defense gameplay as well.
The complete environment will be replete with destructive air strikes and power up attacks to make the fieldrunners’ pursuit difficult. Players have above 30 different kinds of enemies to battle amidst the devastating network of towers. As the fieldrunners alter their modes of attack, gamers must waste no time in crossing their path and throwing in optimal blows. The title involves the enemies moving through tunnels, crossing bridges, stepping into ditches and running around fields, all in an effort to break the defense.
This game that comes as a sequel to Fieldrunners, arrives with more modes, weapons and enemies to make the experience engaging. Like we’ve already mentioned, Fieldrunners 2 for iOS is scheduled to reach iPhone users by June, followed by the iPad version.
