Capcom has heard the cries of video game enthusiasts from all around the world who are fans of the acclaimed Street Fighter franchise. The company will soon grace the Apple App Store with the likes of Street Fighter IV.

Street Fighter IV for the iPhone utilizes a superior virtual d-pad or ‘Visual Pad’ control interface. This provides players with a familiar combat system. The Visual Pad interface can be completely customized by locating the buttons and d-pad just about anywhere on the screen via the options menu. Further configuration settings can be carried out through the transparency level of the controls.

Takeshi Tezuka, General Manager of Mobile Content Development, Capcom revealed, “This is Street Fighter IV in all its glory… uncompromised and awesome. We’re particularly proud of the multiplayer feature as it remains true to the series arcade roots by allowing players to go head-to-head over Bluetooth in spectacular fashion.”

All those players who are new to the famous fighting series can take advantage of the new ‘Dojo’ mode. After gamers polish their skills in the single player mode, they can take on friends through Bluetooth to see who emerges as the champion.

Street Fighter IV is compatible with the iPhone and iPod touch and is expected to hit the App Store by next month.
