Stainless Games evolve downloadable Games for the iPhone

iPhone UK independent studio Stainless Games, popular in the gaming contour for their creative Xbox Live Arcade Work, has announced the development of games for the iPhone. Having worked broadly on download platforms and with 12 XBLA games in progress, Stainless Games is now going to support the Apple iPhone backed by Beelzebub, its intrinsic cross-platform development environment.

According to CEO Patrick Buckland the incorporation of the Apple iPhone to their prevalent domain was an alluring option. He remarked “I personally go back a long way with Apple; having started out writing for Apple machines in 1979 – and have had a lot of success on Apple platforms over the years – particularly with Carmageddon 1 and 2, and my own Crystal Quest IP. Given recent trends, the iPhone is doubly interesting – since it’s both a truly next-gen machine with an ‘always-on’ connection and a format with a great direct sales route to the consumer. We already support all download platforms; XBLA, PS3, PSP, PC and Wii under the umbrella of our custom development environment. Thus it was a logical step to include iPhone, so we can now offer our customers a complete range of download platform options.”

Presently under the NDA, Stainless has disclosed the possibility of its first iPhone game arriving very soon in the Apple App Store. With the iPhone emerging as a revolutionary phone, its inclusion by Stainless Games will undoubtedly attract the attention of potential buyers.
