Apparently, the HTC Hero is going to be launched in the US on October 11. A “senior member” from xda-developers forum has posted an image which provides evidence that HTC’s latest smartphone powered by the Android OS will be available through US carriers.
The “senior member” obtained this information as he works for a wireless developer company which received a contract to develop wallpapers, ringtones and apps to sell in their market place. The same person had spoken about HTC coming to a US carrier in April. According to Engadget, there is a possibility that this carrier will be Sprint.
Besides the HTC Hero, the image featured information about other phones such as the Samsung Q which is powered by Android, is apparently looking towards an October release. Then there are the BlackBerry Aries, the CDMA version of the BlackBerry Curve 8520 and LG LX610 / Lotus 2 smartphones.
