Sprint Music Plus app out for audiophiles

Sprint Music Plus This next tidbit is for those who live, breathe and download music perennially. Sprint, in partnership with RealNetworks, has launched its new app dubbed Sprint Music Plus.

The app enables Sprint consumers to download and engage in playblack of DRM-free songs, ringtones and ringback tones. Sprint Music Plus is touted be a one-stop shop for searching, playing and purchasing individual songs or a collection of music tracks.

“Sprint Music Plus is an easy way for our customers to discover new music and tones and manage all of their music content in one convenient place,” explained Sean Khurana, vice president of Consumer Product Marketing at Sprint.

Music lovers can easily create numerous playlists as well as assign different ringback tones to callers according to their preferences. This all-around music app employs a library manager to provide people with the ability to organize full songs based on genre, artists and more for quick accessibility.

“Sprint makes sure our customers always have access to their favorite music by providing a wide array of options, ranging from free apps downloaded from Android Market, BlackBerry App World or GetJar.com to Sprint Radio to purchasing tunes from Sprint Music Plus,” added Khurana.

Tracks can be easily looked up by typing in the name of the artist, title or even keyword. The app also proffers recommendations based on customers’ tastes in music. Pricing ranges from $0.69 to $1.29 per DRM-free track.

Android powered Sprint smartphone users can download Sprint Music Plus via Sprint Zone. The app may be found on the homescreens of BlackBerry and Java-based feature phones released after May 2010. It can be accessed through Sprint Mobile Web by devices which were launched before May 2010.
