Sprint launches Samsung Intrepid smartphone

Sprint Samsung Intrepid Samsung announces the launch of its latest Intrepid smartphone. The phone is a Windows phone that allows users to use the most reliable 3G network worldwide.

The device runs on Windows Mobile 6.5 Professional with Microsoft ActiveSync and improves the earlier versions of Samsung Window phones. The Intrepid features a customizable Today screen to display frequently accessed information like mails, text messages, missed calls and calendar appointments. The phone offers faster Internet browsing and personalization options that include choosing designer themes from a wide range of themes.
With the built-in theme creator, users can design innovative look for their phones.

The phone adds to Sprints’ business phone range and keeps users connected while on the go. The device boasts of a 2.5-inch touchscreen interface with 320×240 resolution. It offers a 3.2 megapixel camera along with a camcorder. This QWERTY handset offers Microsoft Office Mobile (Word, Excel and Powerpoint) capabilities for business professionals. The device supports stereo Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, multimedia features and a microSD card up to 32GB. It permits easy access to social networking sites which include Facebook, Flickr and Twitter. It comes with a pre-installed SIM and allows instant messaging and threaded text messaging to loved ones.

The Samsung Intrepid smartphone will be available at Sprint stores from October 11 with a price tag of $149.99 (inclusive of all taxes). This phone is available with an upgradeable two-year contract. The contract offers $50 savings and a mail-in rebate of $100. It is also available at the official site of Sprint, Sprint Business Direct and selected retailers.
